what do you think can be the easiest way of Communicate while having a fight...
everyone write to his teamate/s but with that excitement it sometimes becomes hard to read and write messages. What about skype? is it useful for ongoing battle? or is there anyother easy program we can use to chat about strategy?

Myself and Dougie find the best way is a simple few words here and there (sometimes not even a single word is needed), as you say above it can be distracting when loads of stuff is passed back and forth, in type or words.....I think it does more harm than good.

A simple "take the wood on your right" or "I attack left, cover my right" is all you need to let the others know what's going on.......the most important thing of all is to WATCH what your partner is doing, and don't sit there doing nothing if the other guy is advancing to attack, there is nothing worse than making a decent attack while your partner sits back watching - but not helping. It then becomes a 2v1 and game over !.

Hmmm we have had few discussions on this subject, the Celt members of NBC use team speak to very good effect, and a few myself included have suggested that we all at NBC give this a try.
Yes i can definitely see that what Gunner says above makes a lot of sense, sometimes less can certainly be better.
Although i think giving team speak a go at one time or another may be worthwhile ;)

Yes Ank,

Most of Celtis, when we meet in lobby, are using TeamSpeak.
It helps a lot for sure, mostly when some are not used to play, so advices and clear messages are more efficient.
But i realize that when you know quite well your partners there are few words to say to get a plan understood, with Soldu we mostly speak at the begining a the battle then we are quite silent.
Furthermore, the written message is more universal, so you get used to play with every player.
Now, when playing important battles with known partners, speaking communication is always better for sure.

You can download freeware Teamspeak, (use 62.75.221.165:9167 server) we create a channel called NBC with psw and we could meet anytime Ank (for CB battle !!!).

One thing I considered was to have a short list of accepted abbreviations when playing NBC members, such as:

A=attack, D=defend, H=hold, Rt=right, Lt=left etc

I also wondered if we could have agreed abbreviations for our members, e.g

Gn=Gunner24
DJ=DougieJ
Fg=Frog
Gg=Grog
etc

Perhaps keeping to lower case for ease and speed.

Another idea is to nominate an overall commander for each MP game. Perhaps the centre players in 3v3 or the player on the Right in 2v2.

I do think many games are lost because of lack of leadership or a plan. It also gives everyone the chance to be Commander and might help prevent the situation highlighted by Gunner above. If a 'subordinate' General holds back or does his own thing (against the commander's plan/orders) then at least the commander/team can highlight any 'breach of orders'. I'm sure it would help prevent awkward the awkward situation that occurs when one player feels they where abandoned, whilst the other player might have been holding back because they thought their teamate was acting rashly or that they hadn't realised they were going to attack so wide etc

With LG, there is gonna be a chain of command element. Why not get ready, and adopt it now.

Cheers

I know some of us like some of us dont like chat during battles(skype or teamspeak etc.) but as everyone now playing etw over steam and most probably all clans talking with their team mates, do you plan to open communication via steam?

I don't plan on this yet, maybe in the future, but not yet, there is TOO much to do in the game to be distracted by chatter......you never know I may change my mind but I think (at the moment) it's better to practice with a partner till you get a feel for what each of you will do....myself and Dougie won 3 from 3 last night with hardly a word in game !.
