What size monitors do you all use ?, I have a tiny one, which is fine as I sit very close to the screen, I've been thinking about getting a bigger one but keep putting it off, every time I go and look at them they all seem too wide after being so used to one the one I use.....I'm going to wait now till LG gets here, see how that looks, and perhaps get a bigger one IF it's as good as it should be, but not bother if it dis-appoints me.

I use a 20 inch monitor, it looks great, but thats what I'm used to i guess, is everything easier to see and read on a bigger monitor ? I'm not sure if it makes much of a difference ??

I'm go and have yet another look, everytime I been to the shop so far, I think "that's too big" and don't buy it !.....one of these days - after LG arrives, I might do, at least they get cheaper every time I go.

The older I get the bigger my monitors get :) I can't believe I used to squint at a 14" in 1280x1024. Got a 22" now and though it _is_ pretty huge and felt funny after many years of a square CRT (19"). The resolution is readable for me at 1680x1050 and not too tiny.

Next year I'll go to a 24 or 26" I think but probably keep the same resolution, so everything will just look bigger.

How far away are your eyes from the screen, I sit VERY close to mine due to the layout and room I have.

Umm, I'm probably about a metre from the screen most of the time. If I was much closer than that I'd probably have to start moving my head to see from one side of the screen to the other which wouldn't be great.

I use a 1920x1200. For me horizon is never too wide.

I am about 70/80cm from the sreen.

I suddenly realize, the wider screen may be a little handicap to keep watch from one side to the other simultaneously. Could be compensate if I had two divergent eyes like a chameleon but it is not the case.
I should follow Moopere and stay at least from 1 meter.

I've managed to push back my monitor a few inches, but even now it's only about 1/2m away from my eyes, is that too close for a BIG screen ?.

I tend to lean forward with my elbows resting on my desktop, so most of the time I'm probably less than 1/2 a meter away from my 20 inch screen its fine but would not want to be much closer than that.
