It was a difficult one FVZ but good to have NTW2 game for a change.

If I am honest, I became a little frustrated and slightly annoyed when Filip sat back in a very protected position at the back.

I tried to attack him at both ends of his line but he fought well and I found it very difficult to switch between both my flanking attacks.

I'm sorry if I was a bit off with you afterwards. I had forgotten about the Attack/Defend nature of NTW2 games and as you said, I was attacking and I did chose the map.

I just wanted a more enjoyable friendly game, where both sides manoeuvre more and are prepared to take more risks.

It kind of felt like a competition game and I'm not really into that.

Congrats on your 50th win FVZ

It's the old problem of "attacker" with the same force as the defender, it is oh so hard if the defender has a great position, and it's alway hard when trying to control forces that are over a very wide frontage.

I'm really beginning to think LG will be a better game for us all, no more worrying about every single unit !.

I wonder what differentiates ETW+mod of reality.
At that time the attackers were fear.

I wonder if this is not because the muskets were less efficient and bayonets more terrible at of assaults.

Napoleon said, during its first campaigns, "victory is for the largest battalions"; during the last campaigns, "the victory is for larger batteries."

I do not note that with ETW nor ETW+mod.

Of course the need to control each unit (where are those lazy subordinate officiers???) is a serious handicap although shared by all opponents but don't prone for a nice game.

There is no doubt LG should be better.
