Empire - Tactical Warfare (TW) mod

This was released yesterday, Moon is still working on it, but I think we would be best to use this version for the whole month of AUGUST, regardless of any updates Moon may make, we can change to an upto date version on 1st September, we can not keep changing every few days as it's putting people off using it.

Looks like no Tac War mod for some time, quote from Moon at CaW :

What now ?, wait for LG, try another mod ?, or go back to ntw2 for a while, I had a game last night with the Celts and it's better than nothing, but not as good as Tac War.

Were there many about playing NTW ??
It would prove pretty tough getting the guys to start over with another ETW mod especially as only a temporary measure before Tac War returns.
If there are enough players there and ready with NTW that may be the best option ?

There were a few in the GS lobby......I'm not keen on trying a new mod for Empire but if Tac War is out of action for weeks to come, well, maybe it's worth a try......I don't know.

From these remarks it sounds like Tac War may not appear any time soon :

Oh well no wonder everyone is so fed up at the moment.
I will pop into the GS lobby Monday night, I'm even thinking about starting a ETW campaign :shock:

I will make my way to the GS lobby as well Mon night, after about 8-9pm for a ntw2 bash !.

There is a small chance Tac War may never be seen again, even if it is, we never know what Moon is going to do with it !.

Yep looks like we don't have to worry about a split up of our slowly growing band of on line Trom players, and although I'm probably one of Tac Wars biggest fans, this is really quite good news.
We can concentrate on Trom as far as TW games are concerned until NTW comes along.
