Interesting things here.
From beta tester :
Quote:
The Player order a Corp composed by cavalry to deploy on the point X; the Corp follow the order and begin marching. The Corp, near point X notice some infantry squares so the cavalry stops and, if available in the Corp, the AI chooses to let horse artillery to advance and bombard those squares.
Quote:
another one is the cavalry charging enemies routing, this can lead to:
- Unit A routs
- Cavalry B charges unit A routing
- Cavalry C charges Cavalry B to help unit A routing

Like all orders...
You may send orders to a unit by using all views (2D, symbolic 3D, 3D view).. Sometimes, it's more easy to use either 2D view or 3D Symbolic view.
Just draw a vector to pointer to the target point.
A mechanism analyses the threat, and it may send an order for moving the CiC.
Another Q&A g24/JMM :
Quote:
Is scouting handled by the AI - or the human player ?.

Does anyone know if you have to "order" formations to send out scouting Cavalry, or does the AI do this without the human player having to order it ?.

No.. you have to control your army.
Great Tactical AI replaces the player; it tries to find your weakness (gap, corps without support.. and so on)
