Well Gentlemen,

I am Jefferson at the forum. Site Admin is the Site Admin account, for reasons I'll explain.

Basically the clan will operate on several levels, so that each member, active or rarely active, has a role to play.

Which State you will come from will depend on your time zone- at the moment it is Southern States=PST, Middle Atlantic= CST and MT, and Northern States = EST. European players will get a state, as will any eastern (AU/NZ/NG/etc)

Every member of the clan will be in his states' legislature. while it sounds fancy, all that really means is that they can vote.

Every two months the states will elect their delegations to the continental congress. Congress will basically approve promotions of any Army or Navy officer going into the position of Major General or above. If the CiC of the Army is doing a poor job training the army, or the Commodore of the Navy is lacking, they replace them.

Every six months, Continental Congress will elect one person to be the president of congress. So, in the clan there will be three heads- President, of Congress; CiC of the Army; and Commodore of the Navy (all based on the real rank structure of the US during the revolution).

Site Admin is basically just the account that will be used to avoid any power struggle over who gets to be an admin. I've made my account admin for ease at the moment, but I will probably take that away when the democratic process begins.

Great to see more democracy in action in the clan type situations. Its no easy thing, motivating players to get really involved, but I think its worth the struggle. Best of luck.
