I keep getting this error when I unzip the CB mod into the CB32 folder of my NTW2 directory. "Could not create "C:\Program Files (x86)\The Creative Assembly\Rome-Total War-Copy\CB32\Replays"-unzip operation canceled."

Hmm. Looks like Vista right? I could probably fumble my way through this and try to help - but before I do, anyone who actually runs Vista (not me) got any ideas?

In fact i had the same problem as i use Vista like you. But i cant exactly remember how i solved that problem as i got the same error message when i 1st tried it.
Please try to use the winrar wizard instead of hitting extract here or there directly. ( i use winrar 3.80)
Secondly, i dont download it under \The Creative Assembly\Rome-Total War-Copy and try to extract it there, it gives error. When i have something to download i use the "vista" default download path...C:\Users\(my default user name)...extract right in the same path there, then copy the extracted files and paste in the target. I dont say these are much meaningful or correct but i tried these and it worked. I am not sure what is wrong with this vista in fact. I would definitely use xp if i knew i would have problems with games. Maybe Dougiej can help also as he uses vista too when he comes back from the trip.

Mmm. Ank, you have me thinking here...I suspect you are on the right track.

Lilvampire, try extracting the files to c:\temp then copy them to the correct directory after extraction. I wonder if the process is being stuffed up by this bit "C:\Program Files (x86)\" the brackets around x86 might be causing an issue.

See how you go and report back if no luck.

Regards, M.

Hi Lilvampire,

Did you follow the instructions here:

http://corps-battles.wikispaces.com/Setup

If so you will have an icon on your desktop called "CB", can you please tell me where that icon points to? (right click on it, choose properties, copy n paste to your reply here what is in the 'Target' box under the 'Shortcut' tab).

I've seen what you describe above happen when CB is not in the correct folder, so instead of failing it runs NTW2 (standard) :)

Cheers,
Moopere

Friends, other than Moopere's post above, can this be a problem that i faced 1 month ago. Trying to download 321 when not having 32.
My suggestion is this:
- Uninstall everything.
- Download ntw2 and its maps.
- Follow the Full installation guide here http://corps-battles.wikispaces.com/Setup#Upgrade as Moopere mentioned.
- When you come to step 23, download CB_v3.2_CA first http://www.4shared.com/file/114793634/d ... 32_CA.html and install it. But i suggest you extract it somewhere else where vista generally use and then copy paste to under CB folder.(i know you said you tried this)
- Then download CB_v321d_A http://www.sendspace.com/file/xmhu4b at http://corps-battles.wikispaces.com/Download and Recommended Map Packs for Corps Battles 3.2.1 http://www.sendspace.com/file/si04do

which i did like that after having a problem joining to others.

Thanks Ank. I'd be interested if that fixes the problem (please report back Lilvampire). If it does I'll have to install Vista and see whats going on as I can't get my head around the problem under XP.

Cheers, Moopere
